VPS Hidden Costs: IPv4, Backups, Transfer and Renewal
A VPS estimate can omit optional services, prepaid cash requirements and charges that remain unknown. These examples use published catalog rates and the existing cost engine.
Reproducible add-on scenario
For DigitalOcean Basic Regular 2 GiB, the catalog records $12.00 per month, $0 monthly IPv4, weekly backups at 20% of server cost, transfer overage at $0.01 per GiB, and snapshots at $0.06 per GiB-month. The example adds 100 GiB of overage every month and stores a 40 GiB snapshot throughout. It is a scenario, not a forecast of your usage.

Promotional prices and renewal cash
